How Sniff E. Dog & Friends came to be.....
Before writing children's books, Doug Thompson spent years photographing great white sharks off South Africa and leading expeditions across Africa, Central America, and the South Pacific. He's also built businesses from the ground up and spent nearly two decades helping people prepare for high-stakes moments in their careers. Nite Nite Sniff E. Dog started as a silly bedtime story about a well-loved stuffed dog that never left his partner's side. What began as one small, made-up tale grew into a full cast of characters - Sniff E. Dog, Rooty, Growly Bear, and Little Lamb - and eventually, a book. Doug lives with his two Great Pyrenees, Thor and Freya, who - much like the characters in his books - take their nighttime duties very seriously.
